From Oslo: 300 kilometres by car, or five hours’ drive. From Bergen: 210 kilometres, or around three hours’ drive. If travelling from Bergen, you can take the ferry from Gudvangen to Lærdal, a three-hour trip through the world’s most beautiful fjord landscape. You can also drive via the Snow Road (Aurland-Lærdal), 1,300 metres above sea level, with fantastic views of the Jotunheimen National Park and the Sognefjord.

You can also fly from either Bergen or Oslo to Sogndal. Sogndal airport is around 45 minutes’ drive from Lærdal. - www.wideroe.no

If arriving from the north via Geiranger, Lærdal is 260 kilometres south of Geiranger.

From either Bergen or Oslo, you can take a train to Flåm. Flåm to Lærdal is a 45-minute drive.
